I totally agree with your points. The importance of the modern day technology in health industry especially the geriatrics cannot be overemphasized.
I have often appreciated the power of the tracking devices, some in form of bracelets worn on Dementia patients living in their homes. It is very efficient in locating them when they wander or during emergency situations.
