Olatunji Taylor

Olatunji Taylor is the founder of Aricares Alliance and the lead trainer for this caregiver education program. He comes to this work with a rare combination of hands-on caregiving experience, formal education, leadership in operations, and deep reflection on the meaning of care.

Olatunji is a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with approximately 10 years of direct caregiving experience, supporting individuals and families through some of the most vulnerable seasons of life. Alongside his clinical and hands-on background, he holds an MBA, and has spent 6 years as an operations and continuous improvement manager, where he focused on building systems that are safe, efficient, and respectful of both staff and clients. This mix of frontline care and management experience shapes his training style: practical, organized, and centered on real-world challenges.

He is also the author of two books on caregiving:

• “Love, Labor, and the Long Good-Bye: Reconsidering the Role of Caregiving”

• “A Caregiver and a Hundred Shoes”

In these books, Olatunji explores the emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of caregiving—what it means to show up for another person over time, and how caregivers can honor their own needs while serving others. His writing reflects the same compassion and honesty he brings into the classroom.

Committed to lifelong learning, Olatunji is beginning his nursing school prerequisites next spring, further strengthening his clinical knowledge so he can continue to improve the training and support he offers to caregivers.

In every session, Olatunji’s goal is simple:

• to remind you that caregiving is not just a job or a duty, but a profound act of love and service.
