Safe Transfer & Mobility

Safe transfer and mobility support protects clients from falls and injuries while preventing strain and workplace accidents among caregivers. This training equips caregivers with the knowledge and techniques required to transfer clients safely and assist with mobility in compliance with state health and safety standards. Learning Objectives By the end of this module, caregivers will be able to: • Identify principles of safe body mechanics and ergonomics. • Demonstrate proper techniques for assisting with transfers and mobility. • Recognize when to use assistive devices (gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs). • Apply critical thinking to real-life scenarios to maintain client and caregiver safety.
